DescriptionBulbous-bodied waste bowl set atop of a stepped circular foot. Two bands of triple beading, composed of a course of large beads in between two courses of smaller beads, bookend height of the piece, and a single band of large beads separates the body from the foot.InscribedFront of the body engraved with the Tucker family crest of a lion's paw holding a battle axe, over a "T" in sprigged script.
MarkingsBottom of body struck with "G.EOFF" in relief within a rectangle, "J.H.CONNOR" in relief within a serrated rectangle, "S" below a star in relief within an oval, and a group of three imitation British hallmarks.
ProvenanceAs per donor's note: Gift from Catherine Fitch Tucker [February 28, 1879-August 22, 1970] to niece, Joan Leanora Tucker Fowle [October 19, 1929-January 26, 2023].
