DescriptionDeep soup plate with wavy-edged rim divided into five sections by blue ground cartouches trimmed with gold and painted with gold flying insects. Each section edged with gold and painted with a polychrome floral swag. The well is painted with an exotic bird in orange-red, purples, and yellow, standing between flowering plants; with rocks in the foreground and city-scape in distant background. Four flying insects and one beetle surroun the central design. High-raised footring encircled with gold band.MarkingsSingle barb anchor in gilt on center of the reverse of the dish.
