DescriptionWindow rests: pair of window rests, the fronts each molded with a bust length portrait of a woman, her head turned to her proper left and a putto flying above her head, all on a red-orange ground and framed within a raised yellow border. The back stepped portions of the object scored, undecorated, and unglazed; the curved sides of the supports painted red-orange with a faux marble finish.ProvenancePart of a large collection of window rests compiled by the donor over many years and from numerous sources. In June 2024, gifted to the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation (Williamsburg, VA).
